Project properties
Select a project in the project viewer on the main window, then
click on the menu "Project" - "Project properties...", or just
double click on the selected project, you can view and modify the
project properties
- General

- Category - You can move the project from one category to
another by changing this option
- Project name - Modify the name of the project
- Safe backup - This option is designed
for the "Incremental Backup" type tasks of this project. When
backing up new data to the new timing catalog of an existing backup
archive, ArkBackup opens the archive and write data into it.
If a thunderbolt happens during backing up, e.g. power lossing,
etc., the archive file will be corrupt. If "Safe backup" is checked,
ArkBackup will make a copy of the backup archive before open and
write it so that the archive file can be safe. If the backup finishs
successfully, the "copy" of the archive file will be removed. So if
this option is checked, you may need more disk spaces and take more
time for storing the copy of the archive file. In general, if you
also make a copy for the backup archive by yourself, e.g. burn it
into CD/DVD discs, this option is unnecessary to be checked.
- Don't pop up notification after backup - If you don't want a
notification window pops up when project runs completed, then
check it.
- Actions

In "Actions" page, you can specify some programs to run before/after a
project running, and/or copy/move/delete files, burn disc, FTP
upload, etc.. This may be helpful if you need to do some
additional operations before/after backup.
Add tasks for project
To add a new task for a project, select a project in the project
viewer on the main window, then click on the menu "Project" - "Add task
