ArkBackup - Plug-ins

Why plug-ins?

In some cases, the location where you backed up files, is not the location where you will restore them. E.g. You may backed up the mail box files of Outlook Express from a folder like:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{46AAD6B6-BD57-42A6-A910-A69943C3024B}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
And some day, maybe you will need to restore the mail box files in your newly installed Windows and the folder of Outlook Express mailboxes will be:
C:\Documents and Settings\NewUser\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{33C3FD70-ABE9-41A9-AFBE-63EC656EB4FD}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
or other folder you specify in the options of Outlook Express.

Do you need to know these details for your backing up and restoring?

No, absolutely not! With plug-ins of ArkBackup.

You just need to add the related plug-in into ArkBackup then create a task for this plug-in. It's all. The plug-in will "tell" ArkBackup what and where to backup and where to restore. E.g. the Outlook Express backup plug-in, will backup not only the mail boxes of it, but also your mail accounts informations, address book, etc.

Where to get plug-ins?

More and more plug-ins will be released continuously, you can visit: http://www.arkbackup.com/plugins.htm to find up to date plug-ins. And you can download them in this page.
